NetBet review 2021 - Our Test and Experiences

Netbet is a betting provider that was founded in the year 2001 under the name Bet770 in France and they were able to make a name for themselves as a great bookmaker. Unfortunately NetBet is not so popular outside of France so we want to present this bookmaker in detail in our betting provider test. As NetBet was able to get the very popular Maltese license after the founding in 2006 we can state at the start that it is a very integer bookmaker. In the year 2011 Bet770 changed its name to NetBet and in one go they also changed the business strategy: Since the company was only well-known in France, they decided to follow a more expansive company policy. Since then the betting provider is also providing new customer promotions for tippers from other countries and they are also advertising outside of France. Even though NetBet was originally founded in France, the head office is now in Malta, where Cosmo Gaming Company Limited, which is behind NetBet, is registered. In our betting provider review we share our experiences with NetBet in different categories like betting offer, odds, live bets or customer service, so everything you should know about advantages and disadvantages of this bookmaker with French roots.

BETTING PRODUCTS - NetBet shows decent number of betting opportunities

In this category of our NetBet test review we look at the number of available sports and we also determine the depth of offer through analyzing the betting markets. At the time of our test we were able to make out 30 different disciplines, which is a very decent number and so the bookmaker from France can definitely compete with others in this category. Apart from the big mainstream sports like football, tennis, basketball or ice hockey we also found less known sports like futsal, MMA or netball. Additionally there are some classics like cricket or harness racing. It's no surprise though, that the biggest part of the portfolio is taken by king football: Of course we found renowned competitions like the Premier League, German Bundesliga, La Liga or Champions League, but NetBet also has smaller and more unconventional leagues like the ones from Venezuela, Estonia or Kazakhstan in their portfolio. You can also place bets on amateur competitions like the German upper league, although those amateur matches can usually only be found for the big football nations like Germany, England or Spain. In the course of our NetBet test we also discovered a more than decent e-Sports section. Therefore the betting provider seems to be well equipped for the current and coming developments on the betting market. NetBet also offers the opportunity to bet on elections or society events, which can be found under the category "special bets". Regarding betting markets the bookie with French roots also is very solid: At the time of our research we could make out up to 177 betting markets per match on the site of the bookmaker. The number of available betting opportunities can also be higher or lower according to the popularity and prestige of the certain matches. According to our experience such fluctuations are common on the betting market and so they don't affect the NetBet test negatively. In total the offer of this bookmaker is very persuasive in width as well as depth and so the finish in the upper third in this category of our NetBet test report: 17/20 points.

BETTING ODDS - In this category NetBet drops points in our test report

The pay-out key and the odds are the most important fields for every bookmaker and so we put a lot of amphasis on this category in our NetBet test report. For a long time NetBet wasn't really known for high odds, but a further look on the odds offer of this bookmaker reveals a slightly improved offer. As they state on the NetBet website the pay-out key was at 96,37% at the time of our research, which is a decent number according to our experience. Even though the bookmaker from France seems to be improved in this category, we still see room for further improvement regarding odds. When analyzing certain sports and disciplines in more detail, it becomes obvious that king football is leading in odds as well - just like in the betting offer category. Especially matches from renowned competitions like the Premier League or the World Cup 2018 provide the best odds of all sports in the bookmaker’s portfolio according to our NetBet experience. They fall behind in industry comparison, however: Even in absolute top competitions like the above mentioned ones the odds key is only between 93% and 96%, which isn't a thrilling number according to our betting provider experiences. If you look at less popular and smaller leagues like the Norwegian Eliteserien or the Latvian Virslika the odds drop further and you only get odds between 90% and 93%. Within a competition the odds remain very stable and so in this regard it doesn't make a difference whether it's a match between favourites and underdogs. In summary one can say that the bookmaker with French roots still needs to improve in this category, if they want to come closer to the leaders of the industry. One also needs to state the odds on NetBet have been significantly worse in the past according to our experiences. For the odds offer we award NetBet 16/20 points.

LIVE BETS - Our NetBet experiences prove an ambitious live betting offer

Since live betting has been growing more and more popular over the last couple of years and the live bets have become an extremely relevant factor when choosing a betting provider, we also take this category into account in our bookmaker test. The bookie is promoting more than 25.000 live events per month on its homepage and at the time of our visit we also found a decent number of betting possibilities in the NetBet live betting section, a big part of them were football and tennis bets. According to the popularity of certain matches we could mark up to 70 different betting forms for the live betting section in our NetBet test report. But there were also live bets for smaller sports like badminton, beach volleyball or table tennis, even though there is a smaller number of betting markets for these less known disciplines of course. The live betting section is very well structured. It's programmed very intuitively. We definitely need to highlight the fast loading times in our NetBet test report, which provide a pleasant experience when placing live bets. The live betting section is divided into the sub-sections "general overview", "all events", "live events", "live result" and "results". When you select a match from the live bets offer with a mouse click, the available betting markets as well as a live animation that shows the current game play in real time pop up. You can also refer to match statistics for your live bets. Unfortunately we weren't able to experience any live streams in the course of our NetBet test. In summary NetBet is performing pretty well in this category, only the missing live streams cause a deduction of points. NetBet receives a solid 8/10 points in this category of our bookmaker test.

BETTING BONUS - New customers can make first experiences with NetBet

The NetBet welcome offer is a pretty classic bonus. Netbet will raise your stakes up to £30 on your first deposit and single bet. All you have to do is to sign up at NetBet. The welcome offer only applies for new customers and unfortunately it's also restricted geographically and is only available in the United Kingdom. There are some betting and payment restrictions for the NetBet bonus which should be accounted. Skrill and Neteller cannot be used for the NetBet bonus offer. According to experience the NetBet welcome bonus is pretty good and therefore we award the bookmaker 9/10 points in this category.

USER-FRIENDLINESS - We can state a very good web appearance

In this category of our NetBet test we are analyzing the web appearance of the bookmaker in detail and taking into account the desktop version as well as the mobile one. When first visiting the NetBet website (desktop version), it was obvious right away that this betting provider has been spending a lot of money for an effort to have a professional, sophisticated web appearance. The menu is classically structured, it is often built the same way as on other websites: In the head section you can first select from the portfolio. We were mainly interested in the category "sport" in our NetBet test. When you choose this field, in the middle of the website current events from the live betting offer pop up. In a column on the left side you can find the total offer of sports, on top are the most popular disciplines and competitions. With a click on a certain sport a drop down menu opens, where the available competitions and leagues are summarized. With another clicks you get to the single events which are shown in the middle section of the website. On the right side is the betting slip, several promotions and a ranking of the top winners among NetBet users and so the most important points are seen at one glance. In total the desktop version of the NetBet website scores with an excellent room distribution, an intuitive menu navigation and strong contrasts. Regarding the mobile offer, we weren't only able to find a mobile version of the website, but also an Android version. You can either download it from the bookmaker's website or via Amazon. The app has similar qualities as the desktop version: The extensive offer is displayed compactly and clearly and so customers don't need to fear any big restrictions, when betting on the mobile version or the NetBet app. We award the very successful web appearance 8/10 points in our NetBet test.

PAYMENT OPTIONS - broad selection with PayPal

We encountered a big selection of methods of payment, when we were looking for payment possibilities on the bookmaker's site: Skrill (Moneybookers), Neteller, entropay, paysafecard, immediate transfer, WebMoney, QIWI, moneta, Trustly, Euteller, AstroPay, PayPal, bank transfer and various credit cards (Mastercard, VISA, Diners Club) can be used for deposits and pay-outs on NetBet. The fact that the absolute industry leader PayPal is on board is particularly laudable. According to our betting provider experiences that's not at all self-evident and so it makes for a good evaluation in our NetBet test. Another plus in our NetBet test is that the bookmaker usually doesn't charge any transaction fees (it is possible though, that there are charges for specific means of payment that need to be paid to the respective company). Pay-outs are made quickly and without any delays and so with NetBet you always have the feeling to be in reliable hands. At the end we want to hint that a partial cash out on NetBet is also possible for live bets, which we believe is an innovative and customer friendly feature. In total there is hardly anything to criticise in this category of our NetBet test. Therefore we award 9/10 points for the wide selection of methods of payment.

CUSTOMER SERVICE - We've had good experiences with the NetBet customer service

In order to get in contact with the betting provider, when you have questions or problems, NetBet provides an e-mail address, a live chat and a phone number. The customer support phone line is occupied between 12:00 and 20:00 (GMT) and the live chat can be reached between 8:00 and 23:00 (GMT). Therefore NetBet meets the mandatory program with flying colours. Additionally modern communication channels like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram can also be used. According to our experience on NetBet the customer service is always very friendly and competent too. Therefore we award 10/10 points in this category of our test.

PROFESSIONALISM - No reason to doubt the integrity of NetBet

There are no divided opinions in our NetBet test when it comes to integrity: Apart from a license from Malta the fact that the French bookmaker is on the betting market since 2001, speaks for serious and flawless work. Additionally NetBet is sponsoring clubs like Hamilton Academics, AS St. Etienne and Steaua Bucarest. Cooperations of this kind are usually a good sign for the integrity of a bookmaker, since the respective clubs also have a reputation to lose and so they try to avoid to make business with shady companies. In our Netbet test there are no doubts about the integrity of this betting provider and so we can't do anything else but award 10/10 points in this category.

In Germany there is a betting tax of 5%. We need to state in our NetBet test report that the betting provider is charging these 5% on the customers' stakes. Therefore the betting tax is already being paid when placing a bet.

TOTAL EVALUATION - Ambitious bookmaker that persuades in our test

In total we can give this bookmaker, which is very popular in France, a good reference: NetBet is performing particularly well in our test in the categories betting offer, live betting, usability, methods of payment and customer service. In these categories NetBet doesn't need to hide from competitors outside of France. We also made good experiences with the NetBet welcome bonus. NetBet only falls a bit behind regarding betting odds and so we had to deduct most points in this category of our test report. All in all this betting provider has a very balanced portfolio, which has some room for improvement here and there. Therefore Netbet gets a solid result and lands in the upper midfield of our bookmaker evaluation.
