ComeOn Review – Our Test and Experiences

In addition to the established and universally known bookmakers, in our ComeOn experience report we share our test results for this still-young member of the industry. This bookie was “born” in 2010. ComeOn first established itself on the Scandinavian market, founded by former members of Swedish betting provider Betsson. Whether or not this know-how had positive effects on our ComeOn experiences, is something we clarify in detail in the following review. Our evaluations are based on some of the most important criteria for fans of sports betting. The fact is, this bookmaker has managed to get an ever firmer footing on the German-speaking market in recent years. How this impacts such categories as betting products, betting odds, live bets etc., and the experiences we had in all of these areas, is described for you below.

BETTING PRODUCTS – Absolutely positive experiences with ComeOn

In this area of our experience report, we were very positively surprised by ComeOn. Above all due to the young “age” of this business, we were impressed by the wealth of sports offered on their website. Though it may be the case that one or more of their competitors was able to outdo this particular test candidate, ComeOn’s over 30 different sports undoubtedly left us with positive impressions. From football to ice hockey along with more “exotic” creatures such as speedway and trotting, the sports they offer are certain to whet the appetite of any sports tipster. Just like all the other bookies on the market, at ComeOn football is king. For this reason, in our ComeOn experience report we give that particular sport the attention it merits. The number of football leagues offered by ComeOn certainly stands up to comparison. In fact, we almost gulped when we saw the raw numbers: This Malta-licensed bookmaker features significantly more than 100 leagues and competitions from every corner of the globe in its betting program. Needless to say, the top European leagues are well represented, though you can also place bets on football competitions in Ivory Coast as well as Jordan, to mention but two of the competitions that rarely appear in the repertoires of many other bookmakers. In other words, in terms of breadth as well as depth, we only had exceptionally positive experiences with ComeOn. We also discovered that ComeOn is already accepting bets on the winner of the 2020 European Championships, clear evidence that they are as current as it gets. An interesting highlight to bridge that infamous summer football vacuum: In the course of our ComeOn experience report, we discovered you can also bet on whether certain players stay or move during the summer transfer period. Well represented at ComeOn – and typical for Scandinavian bookmakers – is the sport of ice hockey, though we also encountered a wide selection of other sports including tennis, handball and volleyball, with the most important European and intercontinental competitions and tournaments well represented. Furthermore, as we examined ComeOn’s betting products, we also considered the number of betting markets they offer. If we confine ourselves once again to football, we find between 70 and 95 betting opportunities per match, while in tennis, our test discovered just under 20, and in basketball, a maximum of 30. In our ComeOn review, we encountered high numbers for ice hockey, occasionally with practically as many betting markets per game as for football. Only with respect to football markets we found a reason to deduct a point or two in this particular category of our report, awarding 18/20 points.

BETTING ODDS – ComeOn review puts up average numbers with minor outliers

Naturally, the category focusing on betting odds is an enormously important part of our experience report. Spoiler alert: Here, too, this Scandinavian more than managed to live up to our expectations. In order to illustrate this bookmaker’s betting odds, we calculated the payout rates for an entire match day in the German Bundesliga as well as the Premier League, while also incorporating individual events from other sports. But one thing at a time: On the match day in question when we conducted our test and evaluation, for Germany’s highest football division we established payout rates between 94.90 and 96.50. These numbers put the payout rates for ComeOn in the average range. We were not totally impressed by these numbers for the Bundesliga, especially since we came across rates of over 97% from various other bookmakers in our test of betting providers. Certainly, one reason for a slight points deduction in our ComeOn evaluation. Things look a little better in the English Premier League. In this case, we came across rates for the match day in question of significantly above 96 and in some instances even over 97% at ComeOn. That said, though this does not put ComeOn right at the top compared to other bookies, the numbers are certainly more than appealing. In tennis and ice hockey, the payout rates we analyzed were mostly between 94 and 96%. In other words, though ComeOn is unable to offer absolute top odds for barely any event, their numbers do not drop off significantly for lesser-profile competitions or matches, notable as much as anything for their stability. One factor that undoubtedly speaks in favor of this young bookmaker is the fact that they are clearly not putting all of their eggs in one basket, and instead trying to diversify. Let us not forget: In their category “super odds”, they display outcomes for individual matches which, though probable, are thoroughly risky and thus offer high odds. Overall, in the category of betting odds, our review awards ComeOn 17/20 points.

LIVE BETS – ComeOn constantly strives to grow

Of course, we also incorporated our experiences with the live center into our ComeOn report. In the course of our research, we discovered the possibility of placing live bets on a total of 11 different sports, though wagers on significantly more than 50 events are possible. Especially for tennis, this Swedish bookmaker was very well positioned. We also were positively impressed by the ComeOn live calendar. With just one click, you are provided with clear information about the encounter in question, guaranteeing you will never miss out on a live betting opportunity. In general, we view the ComeOn live center very positively with respect to clarity, while it is also very quick and easy to navigate to from the homepage. Speaking of quick and easy: These two words bring us to a feature which our ComeOn experiences indicate is an absolute unique highlight of this bookmaker. It involves so-called turbo bets or fast markets. These make it possible for a tipster to place a bet on an individual rally in tennis or on the upcoming five minutes of a football match. An option that makes live betting even more attractive and that we felt important to draw your attention to within this category of our ComeOn evaluation. We note that the Scandinavian’s live center has, in certain regards, certain similarities to the betting odds we looked at earlier: There is a clear effort to provide balance, with even fringe sports represented time and again in their available live betting opportunities. We had to make slight deductions in our ComeOn experience report due to the fact that live streams are not (yet) available. In addition, despite the attractive event numbers, when it comes to the breadth and depth of their live betting program, ComeOn is not quite able to keep pace with the absolute big players on the market. As a consequence, in this category of our ComeOn report we award 8/10 points.

USER-FRIENDLINESS – ComeOn test indicates modern design

In some areas of our ComeOn experience report, we view the relative youth of this Swedish betting provider as slightly negative. But that is definitely not the case when it comes to user-friendliness. The ComeOn website convinces with its restrained design in black and white, providing for pleasant contrasts. We also positively note the layout of their web presence. On the left-hand side, users are able to select individual sports as they are so-called “top leagues” as well as the day’s current events on the betting market. Overall, as a user you are able to get your bearings quickly and easily. The left-hand menu bar is divided according to top leagues, sports and information, with the last of these categories also providing an extensive statistics center, along with explanations of their betting rules. Furthermore, results from events that are already over can be filtered and viewed in the section labeled “results”. The website headers further confirmed our positive experiences with ComeOn in this area. Here, from left to right, you will find the categories sports bets, live bets, casino and promotions. Incidentally: One of the few shortcomings with respect to user-friendliness was the difficulty of finding the bonus conditions: Our ComeOn test discovered the guidelines for both welcome bonuses were integrated into the conditions for the free bet. By means of the header menus on this Swedish bookmaker’s website, you will discover a relatively understated teaser for the free bet, beneath which a click on the symbol of a question mark allows you to get in touch with ComeOn. In addition, you will find a quick navigation feature on the right-hand side of your screen. Overall, the website feels modern and innovative. This betting provider is clearly trying to offer its customers positive impressions and pleasant betting experiences. Our review indicates that users who wish to bet on ComeOn via smartphone will not be disappointed either. After just a few minutes, you will also be able to find your way around the mobile version, the length of loading times is very tolerable, while this bookmaker managed to find very intuitive solutions for the mobile menus. Overall, in this category of our ComeOn test and experience report, we award 8/10 points.

PAYMENT OPTIONS – Fees indicated that ComeOn has room for improvement in this category

In our discussion of deposits and payouts, we begin by addressing our less-than-positive experiences with ComeOn. First of all, the list of transaction options is only available to customers who have already opened a betting account. Also the case with information about processing times, payout restrictions, processing fees etc. Nonetheless, in the course of our ComeOn test we spared no effort and unearthed the most important factors on your behalf. The minimum amount for deposits to this Swedish bookmaker is € 10, which is very average for the industry. With respect to the maximum possible amounts for deposits, you should be aware of the following: For transactions via VISA, Maestro and MasterCard there is a limit of € 3000. We also discovered a limit for transfers by means of Sofort and EPS, in which case it is € 1000. Neither of those payment methods is associated with additional costs of any kind. Our ComeOn test indicates that this is not the case with Visa, Maestro and Mastercard, where deposits of up to € 250 are charged a 1% fee, in other words € 2.50. For so-called E-wallets, this fee actually rises to 5%. Additionally, in the course of our ComeOn test we did not discover any opportunity to use PayPal, while Skrill and Neteller are both excluded from various bonus offers. If you value quick payouts, we suggest choosing an E-wallet as your payment option since, based on our experience, they only take around 24 hours to process. Here, we also note certain restrictions: This bookmaker requires a minimum payout amount of € 20, while the maximum amount for any payout is € 10,000. Higher amounts must be coordinated with customer service. You should also be aware of certain time restrictions. For example, only 4 free payouts are possible within a 30-day period, with a € 5 fee charged for each additional transaction. Naturally, this is a factor we viewed negatively in our ComeOn evaluation. Overall, we find the payment restrictions and fee schedule a little over the top in comparison to other betting providers, which is why, in this category of our ComeOn review, we only award 6/10 points.

CUSTOMER SERVICE – Only minor deductions in our ComeOn experience report

Fundamentally, our ComeOn investigations indicated that this Scandinavian bookmaker offers a wide selection of contact opportunities. That said, the employees of this young online bookie are essentially available around the clock, as well as on weekends and holidays. Based on our experience, ComeOn can be reached by e-mail between 8 AM and 10:30 PM, with responses generally rapid and helpful. A live chat is also available, though only offered in German from 10 AM until 9 PM. To go there, you will need to click on the question-mark symbol which you find on the homepage. Aside from the aforementioned e-mail contact form, we also discovered a well-structured and clear FAQ area. In this regard, we shouldn’t overlook the social media either. Similarly, in the course of our ComeOn research, we found a Twitter channel, giving customers a way to share their experiences and problems with ComeOn at any time. This is also available in different languages – German, too. However, like many other members of the industry, ComeOn does not offer telephone service. A minor shortcoming which, however, cannot simply be swept under the table. Overall, for customer service we award ComeOn 8/10 points.

PROFESSIONALISM – A license from Malta guarantees safe betting experiences

A wide variety of factors allowed us to establish the absolute professionalism and seriousness of this betting provider. Including the fact that ComeOn holds a license from the Malta Lotteries & Gaming Authority. Other online bookies of a comparable “age” frequently content themselves with a license from Curaçao. Furthermore, in the course of our ComeOn test we discovered an extensive data privacy disclosure on the bookmaker’s website, while ComeOn clearly emphasizes the importance of responsible betting and gaming, something also reflected in the limits associated with various transactions. Beyond that, we note that this bookmaker draws upon the expertise of Sports Betting Tech, one of the most renowned solutions providers on the market. We should also not ignore the fact that ComeOn is a sponsor of the Liverpool FC, one of the biggest clubs on the planet. In short: This Swedish bookmaker doesn’t demonstrate any shortcomings with respect to professionalism. As a consequence, in this category of our ComeOn report we award full points: 10/10.

BETTING TAXES

We discovered this information as we examined ComeOn’s payment options. ComeOn is one of those members of the industry which withholds Germany’s 5% betting tax from users. This is deducted from your gross winnings. You can read further information on the topic of betting taxes here.

IN SUMMARY – ComeOn is clearly on the fast track

Although only founded in 2010, bookmaker ComeOn is beyond a doubt one of those subjects of our test and experience report that managed to impress us. And they are clearly a bookie that any fan of sports betting should keep on their radar in the years to come. With a solid result in the upper mid-range of our betting provider comparison, ComeOn can clearly keep up with competitors who have been in the industry significantly longer. Fundamentally, ComeOn performed well in our test. We had positive experiences in many categories, especially when it came to betting products, betting odds and live bets. Perhaps most important, in practically every category of our evaluation we noted that this Scandinavian bookmaker is constantly striving to improve. The only major deductions we were forced to make were with respect to payment options, especially since ComeOn does not spare its customers from transfer fees. Similarly, portions of their bonus offer did not really convince us. In contrast, they managed to stand out with an enormously user-friendly website as well as their unique fast markets. All in all, our ComeOn experience report paints an absolutely positive picture.
