Betting tip England Premier League: Swansea City - FC Chelsea
Sunday, 11.09.2016 at 17:00 o’clock (CET)
Clear favorite Chelsea
The roles are clearly defined when Swansea City plays against FC Chelsea at home in Liberty Stadium in the only Sunday game of the forth Premier League round. While the “Blues” are fighting for the leading position in the ranking, Swansea tries not to lose even more ground. Kick-off is this Sunday at 5 PM.
Current form Swansea City
The cheers could not be overheard, when the only Premier League club from Wales won their season opener against promoted team Burnley 1:0. In the second round the “Swans” played against a promoted team again, but this time they lost. Hull City beat them deservedly 2:0. A week later Swansea lost again against last year’s champion Leicester City (1:2). At least they won in the second round of the EFS-Cup 3:1 against Peterbrough. So Francesco Guidolin’s team is obviously lacking consistency. Currently they are ranked 14th, but that could change quickly, if they lose to Chelsea. The biggest problem is efficiency on offense. Swansea had significantly more ball possession in the game against Leicester compared to their opponent, they shot at the goal as often as Leicester, but they only scored one goal. Goal getter Fernando llorente is called for. He joined the team during the summer from Sevilla, but he is still waiting on his first season goal. It will be interesting to see, whether he will be able to score against Chelsea.
Current form FC Chelsea
Chelsea almost made everybody forget last year’s bad season already thanks to a phenomenal start into the 2016/2017 season. New Coach Antonio Conte’s team was able to score a maximum nine points in three games. The “Blues” are currently one of three teams without any point loss and they are ranked second behind Manchester City. If the “Derby of Manchester” ends in a draw, Chelsea might be leading the ranking after this round. A win against Swansea is required for that though. The Conte-Eleven played great lately and beat FC Burnley with 3:0. The other two games were victories as well, but way closer. Especially the season opener against West Ham was a lucky 2:1 win. Watford was beat with the same result as well. Chelsea played very variable on offense so far. The seven season goals were scored by five different players, which makes it difficult for opponents to defend them. Additionally the transfer of N’Golo Kanté proved to be a lucky choice. The Frenchman who came from Leicester is not only stabilizing the defense, but he also plays an important role in setting up the offense. Apart from him Conte is mainly counting on players that already were on the team last year.
Swansea had a good season start, but was struggling in the last couple of games. That’s why they are the clear underdog in the game against Chelsea. The team from London is filled with self-confidence after their last performances. That’s why we are counting on a win by the favorite in this game. Our recommendation: Tip 2.
