Betting tip Austria Bundesliga: SK Rapid Wien - SV Ried
Saturday, 23.07.2016 at 16:00 hour
Start of the season at the new stadium
At the local Allianz Stadium the Austrian record master from the SK Rapid Wien start the season this Saturday. Their rival will be the SV Ried for whom the away matches didn’t end well in the past. In addition for the Viennese players it’s the first duty match in their new arena. Kick-off on the 23rd of July is at 4 p.m..
Current performance of SK Rapid Wien
It’s not easy to talk about the performance of a team when the season hasn’t started yet. Rapid is probable the favourite at the match against the upper Austrian. One reason for that is the home advantage that the white-green team can enjoy. The Neo-Coach Mike Büskens sits the first time on the bench of the coach at a duty match. He already has some strengthening for the team. The forward player Joelinton has to score goals and the transfer of Ivan Mocinic has been fixed. The Croatian team player has to replace Thanos Petsos who went to Werder Bremen. We will see how Rapid is able to compensate the leavings on the left side because Stefan Stangl (Salzburg), as well as Florian Kainz (Bremen) have left the team in summer. While for Kainz the Icelander Arnor Traustasson has been obliged on the left side there is a big gap which isn’t filled yet. Possible candidates could be Stephan Auer or Youngster Maximilian Wöber who is actually a central defender has shown lately at the U-19 national team a good performance at the left side. Also Thomas Schrammel would fit.
Current performance of SV Ried
As well as at their rivals there has also a lot changed as the SV Ried. Also like Rapid, Ried has also a new coach. And exactly like at the team from Vienna, in upper Austria a German coach has come. Chrstian Benbennek is coaching now instead of Paul Gludovatz and has already announced a change of the system. We will see how fast the team can adjust to this. With Ronny Marcos or Dennis Chessa they have welcomed also new players. The first duty match in this season has been against the SV Kufstein at the first round of the ÖFB Cup. Like Rapid Gebauer & Co have also reached the next round. Even though they have won with a result of 4:1 there have been some problems at the defence because they had more troubles with their rival than expected. Two important players, Gernot Trauner und Dieter Elsneg, will not be able to play at the start of the season. The hope for scoring goals lies especially on Clemens Walch who has scored three of the four goals at the cup. Otherwise they also run out of players at the front. In addition they also had to say goodbye to Petar Filipovic who has changed to Austria Wien. We will see if they are able to compensate this.
Betting tip for this match
In both teams there has been a kind of rebuilding after the last season. The rebuilding has been a little bit more striking at the SV Ried than at the SK Rapid. Rapid definitely want to win the first duty match at the new stadium. That’s why our tip is: tip 1.
