Betting tip UEFA Europa League: RSC Anderlecht - Slavia Prague
Thursday, 25.08.2016 at 20:00 hour
Anderlecht almost through
The Belgian RSC Anderlecht paved the way for Europe-League group phase in the first leg with a great win Prague. In addition they can count on home court advantage in the retour match against Slavia Prague. Kick-off is Thursday at 8 PM.
Current form RSC Anderlecht
It seems that new Coach René Weiler led RSC Anderlecht onto the road to success. Only deficit so far: The dream of playing in the Champions League is already over. They were kicked out by Rostov in the third round of qualifications. The first leg ended 2:2, but then Anderlecht lost at home 0:2. Europe League will very probably be their consolidation prize. In Prague Anderlecht won 3:0 and so holds all the trumps now in order to play internationally this winter. In league play Anderlecht performs well also. They are currently ranked second but are very much in touch with first place. Two points are separating them from leader Zulte Waregrem at the moment. The general rehearsal for Thursday didn’t go so well though. They only drew 2:2 away against a medium KAS Eupen team. The last league home game proved that Anderlecht is very strong in front of their home crowd however. On August 7 Kortrijk was sent home 5:1. That’s way going up should only be a formality.
Current form Slavia Prague
The biggest problem of Slavia Prague so far is the lack of consistency. They had to jitter in the second round of qualifications after a 1:3 loss away, but then managed to go up with a 2:0 win thanks to the away goal rule. In the next round they played 0:0 at home against Rio Ave and then 1:1 away which resulted in their promotion again. In the Czech league they haven’t lost a game yet, but in international play they haven’t been that lucky especially away. Right now the Czechs are something like the “Kings of draws”. But that won’t be enough in the game against Anderlecht. Additionally they will have to play without important defender Dusan Svento. He will miss the game due to muscular problems. The general rehearsal for the game on Thursday was a success though. In the fourth round of league play they sent FK Pribram home with 3:0. We doubt however that Prague will be able to perform like that in Belgium. Slavia simply has not as much quality on their roster as Anderlecht.
Thielemans, Praet and Co - Anderlecht’s roster has a lot of players that could play in Europe’s top leagues. Additionally the Belgians will want to give their fans the present of a win. Slavia Prague can only pray for a miracle. We believe that Anderlecht will win at home as well. Our recommendation: Tipp 1.
