Austria needs to win
At the parallel match of the group B there will be an encounter between Austria and the host Germany. While the hosts of the EURO do not have any chances to reach the KO phase, Austria still has one. Kick-off on the 17th of July is at 7.30 p.m..
Current performance of Austria
A lot of chances – a few goals. That’s what describes the performance of the Austrian U 19 team the best in this U 19 EURO in Germany. Not only against Portugal also against Italy have they left some good chances unused. One problem is the strength of the nerves. In both matches of this group the team of Rupert Marko wasn’t able to keep their lead and every match has been balanced out. Against Italy they even have been lucky not to lose against them in the end. Nonetheless Austria has a talented squad. Especially at the middle field with Sandi Lovric and Xaver Schlager from the Red Bull Salzburg are special talents. The question is if the team can handle the situation and the pressure that they need to win this match. If they suffer a defeat then the starting grid for the world championship in 2017 is even in danger. Beside the participants of the semi –final also the two third of the group would get a starting grid. The motto for Austria is: failure is not allowed.
Current performance of Germany
The host of the U19 EURO probable has expected something else from this tournament. After two group matches and two defeats they still haven’t collected any point and therefore they are already dropped out of the EURO. One fact that hurts very much is that they haven’t been the poorer team in the matches. Against Portugal as well as against Italy only one goal was decisive. While the first match ended with a score of 0:1 the second match was lost with a score of 3:4. Especially the defence was the weakness of the German team. The offensive play was good and Patrick Ochs from the TSG Hoffenheim has shown his talent at the match against Portugal with three scored goals. For Germany it’s about getting a starting grid for the world championship 2017 in South Korea but therefore they need to win against Austria. We will see if they are able to say goodbye in front of their own audience with a good result.
Betting tip for this match
After two defeats Germany wants to say goodbye with a good result but Austria needs to win to get to the semi-final. In addition it is a duel for a starting grid for the U19 world championship in 2017. We think that Austria will do everything to get a promotion. That’s why our tip is: tip 1.
