Betting tip England Premier League: Manchester United - Manchester City
Saturday, 10.09.2016 at 13:30 hour
Derby time in Manchester
The upcoming round of the English Premier League is started by a real hit. We are talking about the derby between Manchester United and Manchester City. The match is not only interesting because league leadership is on the line. Kick-off is this Saturday at 1.30 PM.
Current form Manchester United
Unlike last year the “Red Devils” had a great start into the new season. They scored nine points in three games, are currently ranked third and have the same amount of points as the teams from Chelsea and Manchester City. New Coach José Mourinho seems to have brought back the winning gene to Old Trafford. New players like Ibrahimovic and Pogba are blending into the team seamlessly. Key players that didn’t perform well last year have found back to old strengths and the youngsters like Marcus Rashford for example play refreshing and courageous. The balance between offense and defense also seems to work. The Mourinho-Eleven only got one goal in three league games, but scored six goals on the other hand. In the season opener they beat Bournemouth 3:1, then they won 2:0 against Southampton. On the last day of action before the national team break ManU beat promoted team Hull City, who were undefeated up to that point, 1:0. In summary: the team is ready for the big shot. We are talking about taking predominance in Manchester, because currently their arch rival City ranks in front of ManU thanks to a better goal difference. Additionally United can count on home court advantage on Saturday.
Current form Manchester City
Both clubs from Manchester are currently riding the wave of success. Manchester City is also flawless in Premier League play so far. Unlike their city rival Manchester City is also playing Champions League this season thanks to a great playoff round with victories over Steaua Bukarest (5:0 and 1:0). In Premier League City won their season opener 2:1 against Sunderland. In the following weeks Manchester City picked up speed and celebrated wins against currently last ranked Stoke City (4:1) and against West Ham United (3:1). The reward for that is first place after three played rounds. Defensively city Rival United seems a little stronger right now, City is mainly relying on their offensive skills. They have great versatility on offense. Any player on the offensive line up can score a goal at any time on the Guardiola-eleven. Best proof: While top striker Sergio Aguero scored twice against Stoke, Raheem Sterling was responsible for two goals against West Ham, even though he is not known to score that many goals. Manchester City also signed a new goal keeper, namely Claudia Bravo from FC Barcelona. He will probably debut against ManU.
Mourinho versus Guardiola, the duel for the reign of Manchester and for league leadership. There is no lack of superlatives for that game. Home court advantage might be decisive in this game between very equally strong teams. That’s why we believe in a close game with the better end for Manchester United. Our recommendation: Tip 1.
