Inter hopes to surprise
At the end of the Serie-A weekend (the game day only coses down on Tuesday) league leader Juventus Turin plays against currently fourth ranked Inter Milan on Sunday. The guests want to surprise and in the best case want to catch up to the top 3 of the league. Kick-off is February 5 at 8.45 PM.
- still without a point loss at home
- hardly any personnel worries
- at last three wins in a row
- were able to win last seven league games
- won first season duel
Current form Juventus Turin
Juventus Turin doesn't seem to be as untouchable as presumed this season. The defending champion is still leading the rankings and is four points ahead of the first competitor, even though they have one game less, but the Allegrini-Eleven also struggles from time to time. They shouldn't mess up against Inter Mila, however. After all they could keep the opponent behind them even more with a win. After a surpsrising loss to AC Florence three weeks ago (1:2), Turin seems to have picked it up again. They celebrated two wins in a row lately. They beat Sassuolo (2:0) and Lazio Rome (2:0). The champion's defense is especially impressive. They didn't even receive a single goal in three of their last four games. One reason for that may be that finally all defenders are fit and ready to play. The fact that Turin is still flawless at home in 2016/2017 also speaks for Juve. They were able to score 33 point in 11 home games. They should also be alert however. One of a total of four season losses were obtained against Inter Milan (1:2).
Current form Inter Milan
Place four in the ranking lets Inter Milan dream of the competition, which they were able to win once under José Mourinho, the Champions League. They are only three points behind third place, which makes this dream possibkle to become reality. Especially if Stefano Pioli's team keeps playing the way they have been for a while now. If one only takes into account the last seven games, Inter would lead the rankings. The currently ranked fourth has not lost a point in the last seven games. Just like Juventus they can rely on a steady defense. Milan didn't receive a goal in five of the seven games. Lastly they won 3:0 against Pescara. Icardi and Co. could also celebrate wins against Palermo (1:0), Verona (3:1), Udinese (2:1) and Lazio (3:0). An interesting detail on the side: Inter seems to grow with their tasks. The better the opponent, the stronger the Pioli-Eleven. They didn't only beat Juventus in the first duel of the season, but also won three other duels against top 5 teams. The fact that five of their six season losses came in away games might be a little damper. On the other hand Inter was also able to win five away games and drew once. Milan can also rely on Mauro Icardi. The striker seems to be able to keep his top form for the whole season. He almost scored half of Inter Milan's 37 goals (15). Unfortunately the last rehearsal for the "hit" against Juve was lost 1:2 in the cup. Some key players have been rested however.
One can expect a very intensive duel. It will be interesting to see, how Inter can cope with the cup loss. We belive that it's going to be a very close game with the better end for the "old Lady" Juventus. Our recommendation: Tip 1.
