Betting tip Serie A: Juventus Turin - AC Florenz
Saturday, 20.08.2016 at 20:45 hour
The champion steps in
Juventus Turin is one of four teams that already see action on Saturday in Italian Seria A. At home their opponent is AC Florence. Quite a thankless task for the defending champion. Kick-off is Saturday at 8.45 PM.
Current form Juventus Turin
The team from motor city is once again a hot contender for the “Scudetto” this season. It will be interesting to see though, how well they can compensate the leave of considerable players. First of all there is Paul Pogba, who turned into the most expensive player of all times, when he signed with Manchester United. Alvaro Morata went back to Real Madrid. He will be replaced by Gonzalo Higuaín, who could be enticed away from SSC Napoli. Turin is worried about the goal getter’s fitness though. Next to the Argentinian striker Miralem Pjanic (AS Roma), Mehdi Benatia (FC Bayern), Dani Alves (Barcelona) and Mario Lemina (Marseille) also joined Turin, either as a loan or fix. So there is still a lot of quality on the roster. Additionally Massimo Allegri is a really smart coach, who will be able to get the maximum out of his team for sure. Unfortunately he has to deal with several injuries at the beginning of the season. Claudio Marchisio and Stefano Sturaro won’t be able to play against Florence for example. In preparation Juventus wasn’t always persuading. They lost against Melbourne Victory 3:4 after penalty shoot-out, but won against Tottenham Hotspur 2:1.
Current form AC Florence
Florence was in the top 5 of Serie A last season and so they are competing internationally in 2016/2017. The minimum goal for the team from Tuscany should be to repeat that. Like many league rivals Florence was very active on the transfer market. Best-known signee probably is Christian Tello, who decided to change into the Italian league from FC Barcelona. Unlike other top clubs of the Serie A Paolo Sousa’s team only had to let go one notable player, namely striker Mario Gomez. After he was loaned to Istanbul last season he now signed with Vfl Wolfsburg for good a couple of days ago. Last season showed that Florence doesn’t depend on Gomez though. The test matches didn’t always go as planned, just like with Juventus Turin. Florence lost against Schalke 04 and against Bayer Leverkusen 3:1. In the season opener against the defending champion Florence will have to play concentrated defense and will have to be efficient in turning their chances (which won’t be too numerous) into goals. Last season Florence shined because of their consistency, which landed them on the 5th place in the home and in the away table.
A hard task for the champion. The pressure is clearly on the shoulders of Juventus. Florence already showed last year, that they are able to challenge the top teams of the league. Additionally the team from Tuscany is well coordinated and experienced. Our recommendation: Tipp X.
