Betting tip International: Ireland - Switzerland

Friday, 25.03.2016 at 20:45 o’clock (CET)

Our neighbours from Switzerland have another away match in front of them. On Friday their rival is called Ireland who are very strong at the moment and especially in front of their own audience they will show their best performance. For both teams this match is an important test match for the European championship. Kick-off is at 8.45 p.m. this Friday.

Current Performance of Ireland - If you just take a look at the paper the rival Switzerland is the clear favourite especially if you take a look at the FIFA world ranking. But to only rely on these results can also go wrong. Ireland definitely knew how to convince at the latest friendship and qualification matches. In the last international match against Bosnia Herzegovina they show a good performance and the match ended with a score of 2:0. In the European championship qualification they were able to win against the current world champion Germany with a score of 1:0. On the other hand there are also not so good results like for example against Poland which they have lost with a score of 1:2 and against Georgia they only scored one goal. In addition the Irish squad seems to be a high percentage of old players. Eleven player of the current squad already had their 30th birthday. Young talents are barley hard to find in the team. Only two players are younger than 24 years old. Of course players like Robbie Keane have a lot of experience but after the final rounds in France there will be a radical change.

Current Performance of Switzerland - The team from Switzerland has no age problems at the moment. The chief of the team Vladimir Petkovic has nearly a perfect combination of young players and experienced players. Beside this the younger players also are active in some of the best European teams. For example defensive player Nico Elvedi from Mönchengladbach ( 19 years old), Granit Xhaka and Ricardo Rodriguez (23 years old) and last but not least the up-front player Breel Embolo from the FC Basel who is also only 19 years old. The coach of the team also had extended his contract lately even when the last performances weren’t the best. Even though there have been an away victory against Austria with a score of 2:1 but they also had to suffer a defeat against Slovakia, Estonia and also against the “Three Lions” from England with a score of 0:2. Nevertheless Switzerland still has the favourite role for the upcoming match against Ireland. To take another look at the world ranking, the Petkovic eleven are currently on the 12th position but Ireland is only on the 29th position.

Betting tip for this match - Switzerland has definitely the better solo players whereas Ireland distinguished the collective. In Addition Robbie Keane & Co can count on the best fans from Europe. It will be a hard task for Switzerland but we think they can handle this easily. Our tip for this match: Tip 2.
