Betting tip WM2018: Netherlands - France

Monday, 10.10.2016 at 20:45 hour

A real classic

When the third game day of the world championship qualifications continues on Monday, fans are in for a real treat. We are talking about the game between EURO finalist France and the great absentee Netherlands of course. Kick-off is October 10 at 8.45 PM.

Current form Netherlands

The disappointment after the failed EURO qualification was tremendous. So everything was supposed to be better in the ongoing world championship qualification. Unfortunately reality is a little bit different. At the start the Netherlands were only able to draw 1:1 in Sweden. Last week they beat Belarus 4:1, even though Danny Blind’s team didn’t perform too well in quite some parts of the game. Especially in the beginning of the game Belarus had surprisingly good chances to score. One Dutch player performed really well however. We are talking about Quincy Promes from CSKA Moscow. He scored two goals and turned out to be the match winner. Unfortunately old hand Wesley Snyder will probably miss the game on Monday. The captain is dealing with thigh problems. Luciano Narsingh also won’t play due to a leg injury. The results between France and the Netherlands are very balanced. The “Oranje” were able to win ten times and also lost the same amount of games. Four games ended in a draw. The most recent game ended in a 2:3 loss of the Netherlands however.

Current form France

It’s strange, but France messed up their first game of the world championship qualification just like their opponent Netherlands. They only managed to meagerly draw 0:0 against Belarus. A clear victory on the second game day is another parallel to Monday’s opponent. France beat Bulgaria with the same score as the Netherlands beat Belarus, namely 4:1. Additionally France also wasn’t performing really well in the game against Bulgaria; they even had to come back from a deficit. In the end France’s offensive quality prevailed though. Payet, Griezman and Gameiro (2) were able to score against Bulgaria. Unlike Danny Blind France’s coach Deschamps will be able to play with his top team on Monday. Additionally France’s results in 2016 are nearly flawless. The only downer is the loss in the EURO final against Portugal. All other games could be won or ended in a draw. “Les Bleus” play particularly well in away games. The before mentioned 3:2 in Amsterdam on March 25th proves that. So the Deschamps-Eleven should have a psychological advantage. France’s roster also is said to be a stronger than the Dutch team. When France lost their last game, it was an away game however. They were defeated by England 0:2 in November of 2015.

Betting forecast

A real intense game can be expected. Both teams were able to win their last game, but weren’t performing too well. Especially on offense France has more quality than the Dutch, that’s why we believe that the Deschamps-Eleven will be able to win. Our recommendation therefore: Tip 2.
