When on the 2nd day of play Germany meets Poland at the group C of the EURO 2016 the departments speak about a match with a high security risk. If you see it from a sporty point of view the world champion from 2014 is the favourite but Poland also has shown that they can mean trouble for Germany. Kick-off on the 16th of June is at 9 p.m..
Current performance of Germany
The final round could be better for Germany at the moment. Especially when it comes to the players trainer Joachim Löw has some real troubles. Beside Dortmund-Star Marco Reus, central defender Antonio Rüdiger from AS Rom is also not able to play at the EURO 2016. Both are injured and are not able to play. Löw showed real courage and has nominated now the only 20 year old player from Leverkusen Jonathan Tah. Therefore Germany has the youngest players of the EURO participants. The average age of the world champions from 2014 is 25,8 years old. The latest results also caused some worry lines for Löw. Even when they have won against Hungary with a score of 2:0, they have lost against Slovakia. It’s also not clear when Mats Hummels is ready again to play after his torn muscle fibre. At the qualification Germany already has played against Poland ad has lost the match away with a score of 0:2 but then has beaten Poland at home with a score of 3:1. The Löw eleven is also the favourite in France.
Current performance of Poland
Poland is a team with a strong play and also a good mix of successful and young players. The eleven of trainer Adam Nawalka has shown their quality at the qualification matches for example at the won match against Germany. However one problem is the defence from Poland. With 10 goals from the other side they have got the 2nd most goals from the other side of all participating teams. This even though they have top players like Kamil Glik (FC Turin), Bartosz Salamon (Cagliari Calcio) or Lukasz Piszczek (Borussia Dortmund). The offensive play is in the hand of Bayern-Star Robert Lewandowski. A loss of him would be a real catastrophe even though his back up Arkadiusz Milik is also strong. The results at the test matches could have been better. Even when they have won clearly against Finland with a score of 5:0 they have lost against the Netherlands with a score of 1:2. Against Lithuania they only made a goalless drawn. However when they win the first match against Northern Ireland they may have enough self-esteem to be dangerous for Germany.
Betting tip for this match
We think that Poland will be able to win against Northern Ireland at the first match therefore the match against Germany will be a fight for the group victory. Like at the parallel match we think that Poland will win a point surprisingly. Especially because of the strong offensive play and the trouble sat the defence at the German team. That’s why our tip is: tip x.
