Betting tip UEFA Europa League: Fenerbahçe Istanbul - Manchester United
Thursday, 03.11.2016 at 19:00 hour
A duel of two traditional clubs
There is an exciting game in Europe League group A on Thursday. Manchester United needs to play in Istanbul against Fenerbahce. The hosts are trying to keep pace with the group leaders. They are currently ranked third in the group. Kick-off is November 3 at 7 PM.
Current form Fenerbahce Istanbul
The 2016/2017 season has been disappointing so far for the Turkish top club. They failed in the Champions League qualifiers, in the Turkish league they are only ranked fifth and the promotion to the knock out phase in Europe League is currently in danger. That’s why they need to at least draw against Manchester United. Star coach Dick Advocaat will miss a couple of players on Thursday though. Striker Fernandao has not been called into the international roster yet, Gregory van der Weil is still injured and the youngsters Ozan Tufan and Uygar Zebeck are also dealing with different injuries. At least the team was able to gain some self-confidence last weekend before the difficult game against the English record champion. They won 5:0 at home against Karabükspor. The leaders like van Persie (2 goals) and Martin Skrtel (1 goal) especially showed that they are still able to help the team. The Turks probably are not very hopeful however, when they look back at the fist game against ManU. After all they lost 1:4. Since then Fenerbahce was able to celebrate two wins in a row however and they have not received a single goal in those games.
Current form Manchester United
Manchester United is kind of a mystery to football fans right now. The roster has world class level, but the way the team plays doesn’t emphasize the individual players’ abilities. That’s why the “Red devils’” results are very inconsistent. Lastly they have not been able to score a goal against Burnley, even though they shot at the goal 20 times. In the end they had to be content with a 0:0 draw. Additionally coach José Mourinho is repeatedly rocking the boat with weird personnel decisions or verbal lapses. It’s quite possible that this affects the team’s performances. Key players like Rooney or Ibrahimovic – if they get to play at all – are also not able to put their personal stamp on the “Red devils’” game. The result is that they are currently only ranked eighth in the Premier League, they haven’t been able to score a goal in their last three games and only scored a total of two points in these games. Additionally ManU has personnel problems on defense. Phil Jones, Eric Bailly and Antonio Valencia might not play on Thursday. An absence of the last two mentioned players especially would really hurt the team. The Mourinho-eleven has also not been able to score points in an international away game yet.
While Fenerbahce seems to have found their form in the last two games, Manchester United is in no good shape at all currently. That’s why it will be really hard for the Englishmen on Thursday. We still believe that they will be able to take home one point. Our recommendation: Tip X.
