Betting tip Ligue 1: FC Toulouse - AS Monaco

A top duel at the start
When this Friday French Ligue 1 kicks off again after the national team break, it does so with a real smash hit. Currently fourth ranked FC Toulouse is hosting second ranked AS Monaco. An exciting game should be guaranteed. Kick-off is October 14 at 7 PM.
Current form FC Toulouse
Next to Nice Toulouse is one of the big surprises of this young season. Pascal Dupraz’s team is currently ranked fourth with 14 scored points, even though there are no big names on the roster. Their best known players are probably Jimmy Durmaz or Ola Toivonen. FC Toulouse is currently one of the strongest home teams of the league. Best proof for that is the 2:0 win over PSG, when Toulouse played really smart. In away games they are struggling a little bit though. One week after the success against Paris they lost to SM Caen 0:1. This was the second loss of the season for the Dupraz-Eleven. In front of their home crowd Toulouse is undefeated however. They not only beat PSG, but also Bordeaux (4:1) and Guingamp (2:1). This is pretty impressive considering that Toulouse is counting on a very young team. Against Caen the starting eleven had an average age of only 22.5 years. Coach Dupraz is dealing with personnel problems before the game against Monaco however. Especially on the outside defending positions and in the central midfield players are either injured or at least not 100% fit.
Current form AS Monaco
AS Monaco is currently first pursuer of the leader of the league. And that’s not as expected Paris Saint Germain, but OSG Nice. With a win over Toulouse the team from the principality could take the lead at least temporary. Monaco went really hot before the national team break. They beat FC Metz away 7:0 (!). Coach Leonardo Jardim’s team is now undefeated for three games in a row. Before the blowout against Metz, Monaco drew 1:1 against Bayer Leverkusen in Champions League and won 2:1 against SCO Angers in Ligue 1. Monaco’s trump is clearly there offensive line. They scored 22 goals in eight games, which is the best of the league by far. Defensively not everything is as great. Monaco at least received one goal in every league game so far. One of the Monegasques’ strengths are standard situations. Kamil Glik is currently the most dangerous defensive player of the league. For the game against Toulouse not only captain Falcao is questionable though, but also wing Nabil Dirar. The game in Metz already showed however, that both players can be replaced pretty well.
Monaco is counting a little bit more on experience than Toulouse. That’s a factor that could be decinding in close games. Additionally one should not underestimate the personnel problems of the hosts. The Jardim-Eleven also is full of self-confidence after the game against Metz. That’s why we are counting on a close win by Monaco. Our recommendation: Tip 2.
