Betting tip Primera Division: FC Sevilla - FC Barcelona
Sunday, 06.11.2016 um 20:45 Uhr
This round's top game in Spain
It’s the duel between currently ranked third and second at the end of game day 11. Or if you put it differently, FC Sevilla plays at home against FC Barcelona and could even surpass the Catalans, if they win. Kick-off is this Sunday at 8.45 PM.
Current form FC Sevilla
FC Sevilla is a force at home. It doesn’t matter if it is the Spanish league, national cup or Champions League. The team from Andalusia puts the fear of god into any team that plays at their stadium. Their last victim was outsider Dynamo Zagreb last week, who have been competing with Sevilla in the beginning of the game, but then were sent home with a 0:4 blow-out. So Sevilla is still undefeated at home in Champions League and they are currently leading group H. They also didn’t lose any of their last four games in the Spanish league. Last weekend they surprisingly only drew 1:1 against Gijón however. Their only loss of the season so far had to be endured in the away game against Bilbao. At home Sevilla is still flawless. Jorge Sampaoli’s team’s strengths are mainly the variability of the offensive players. A lot of players are currently in top shape and they are all able to score a goal which makes it hard for Sevilla’s opponents to prepare. Additionally French new signee Samir Nasri will probably come back into the team against Barcelona. He has been an important piece of the puzzle so far. Generally Sevilla doesn’t have as many personnel problems anymore as they did against Zagreb, also because some fit to play key players have been rested against the team from Croatia.
Current form FC Barcelona
Unlike Sevilla Barcelona had to endure a loss on the last game day of Champions League. Even though there have been scored four goals as well in the game against Manchester City, but three of them were on the wrong side for Barcelona (1:3). Luis Enrique also let his best players play, so they might have a little physical disadvantage on Sunday. Additionally Barcelona has to deal with some injuries. Captain Andrés Iniesta and defensive chief Gerard Piqué are not fit yet. Jeremy Matthieu, who would be an important alternative on defense, is also hurt. Right defender Aleix Vidal also won’t be able to play. Unlike the team from Andalusia Barcelona was able to win their last league game though. The performance in the 1:0 win over currently last ranked Granada has not been very impressive however. Barcelona has without a doubt the better roster compared to Sevilla. The results from the two direct duels in the Spanish Supercup at the beginning of the season showed that. The Enrique-Eleven won both games clearly (2:0 away and 3:0 at home). Barcelona already lost more games in 2016/2017 than Sevilla however. That’s why a surprise by Sevilla is not impossible at5 all. Additionally Barca seems to struggle against defensively compact teams. The result against Granada or the 1:2 loss at home against Alavés prove that.
An extremely exciting duel with a very interesting starting position. Sevilla has won their last game clearly, while Barcelona was shown their limits. But it’s quite possible that the loss was a wake-up call for the Catalan star team. We are counting on a draw in this game. Our recommendation: Tip X.
