Betting tip Primera Division: FC Sevilla - Betis Sevilla
Tuesday, 20.09.2016 at 22:00 o’clock (CET)
Andalusia is more than excited. In the fifth round of Spanish Primera División great FC Sevilla plays against the “little brother” Betis Sevilla in the derby on Tuesday. The reigning Europe-League-Champion is the favorite of course. Kick-off is September 20 at 10 PM.
Current form FC Sevilla
FC Sevilla coped well with the leaving of coach Unai Emery. The team has been quite successful under new coach Jorge Sampaoli as well so far. They are currently ranked fifth thanks to wins over Espanyol Barcelona (6:4) and Las Palmas (1:0) and draws against Villareal (0:0) and Eibár (1:1). Additionally the goalless draw in Turin against Juventus in Champions League should have given Sevilla a lift. So far Sevilla only didn’t stand a chance against FC Barcelona in the national Supercup. Combining home and away game they lost 0:5. In the UEFA-Supercup on the other hand Sevilla played really good and only lost after overtime to Real Madrid (2:3). Additionally Sevilla seems to have replaced goal getter Kevin Gameiro very well. After all Luciano Vietto, who came from Atlético Madrid, has already scored three goals this season. In total five different players have scored for FC Sevilla this season, which makes it hard for opponents to defend them.
Current form Betis Sevilla
Traditionally Betis is eating hambler pie than FC. Last season the city rival of the Europe-League-Champion finished 10th, which is not self-evident. But Betis performed pretty well in 2016/2017 as well. They are currently ranked 11th and scored five points in four games. Their last game was a disappointing draw against possible relegation team FC Granada (2:2). Thanks to center striker Alex alegria Sevilla didn’t lose that game. He scored two goals after they were down 0:2. Before that game Gustavo Poyet’s team won against Valencia (3:2) and drew against La Coruna (0:0). So they have been undefeated for three games in a row now. Only in their season opener against FC Barcelona they didn’t have a chance to score a point and clearly lost 2:6. Betis Sevilla is particularly strong on offense this season. Apart from Alegria they also have Rubén Castro on their roster. He is one of the most dangerous strikers in the league this season and alsready scored four goals so far. Defensively Betis is struggling however. Four received goals in the last two games prove that. It is positive though that Betis could prove against Valencia that they are able to win away as well. In 2015/2016 they lost the Derby away 0:2 however.
The Sampaoli-Eleven will have to take care of the strong strikers from their opponent. Betis will probably try to score on fast counter attacks. Roster-wise FC Sevilla is the favorite. We believe that they will justify their role as favorite. Our recommendation therefore: Tip 1.
