Betting tip UEFA Champions League: FC Lyon - Juventus Turin

Lyon starts as under dog
When Olympique Lyon and Juventus Turin play against each other on the upcoming game day of Champions League in group H, the guest team is the favorite of course. The Frenchmen could surpass the traditional club with a win though. Kick-off is October 18 at 8.45 PM.
Current form Olympique Lyon
The former serial champion and Champions League regular from France has to get in line currently. In France PSG and Monaco have surpassed Lyon as top clubs considering their financial strength. Additionally it doesn’t go as planned playing wise either. Bruno Génésio’s team is currently only ranked eighth. They lost their last game to sensational league leader OSG Nice 2:0. Before that Lyon was able to win with the same result against St. Etienne. Lyon is lacking consistency. The 0:1 loss to weaker team Lorient after a 5:1 blowout win against Montpellier proves that. In Champions League they could at least beat Dynamo Zagreb as expected (3:0) and they also were able to compete with Sevilla even though they lost the away game in the end (0:1). Lyon’s problem area is defense. They are on average receiving at least one goal per game in the French league. Lyon is especially struggling with high balls. That was the case again against Nice for example. On offense coach Génésio can at least count on Alexandre Lacazette again, who has been out due to injury for quite some time. But it will probably be hard for him as well against the stable defense of Turin.
Current form Juventus Turin
Juventus barely knows the problems their opponent has. The team from Turin is currently riding on a wave of success. They are the measure of all things in Italian Seria A, just like last season. They have won their last four games. But one has to admit that especially the performance last weekend against Udinese Calcio (2:1) was not one of their best this season. In Champions League Juve is leading their group. They had to be content with a 0:0 draw against Sevilla on the first game day, even though Massimiliano Allegri’s team has been the better one. There was no room left for doubt anymore against Dynamo Zagreb however. Turin won clearly with 4:0. Juve is now without a point loss for five games in a row and only received one goal in these games. Compared to other teams the “old lady” is playing a stable defense as well as a strong offense. They have three world class strikers in Higuain, Dybala and Mandzukic. Higuain could even be rested against Udinese. His replacement Dybala then scored two goals. On defense Juve has slight personnel problems. Chiellini as well as Rugani will probably not be an option for the game against Lyon. The latter will be out for sure.
Juventus has to be aware. The group’s second ranked Sevilla hosts the group’s scapegoat Dynamo Zagreb. After Juve’s last couple of performances a win in Lyon shouldn’t be much of a problem though. We are counting on a full success for the “old lady”. Our recommendation: Tip 2.
