Everton wants to keep climbing
The next round of English Premier league has the match of FC Everton versus Crystal Palace in store. Ronald Koeman’s team has the chance of becoming the at least temporary second ranked team. Kick-off is Friday September 30 at 9 PM.
Current form FC Everton
FC Everton can be pretty satisfied with their performances so far. Ronald Koeman’s team has not only left arch rival Fc Liverpool behind them, but they also only lost one league game in 2016/2017. This surprisingly happened last round against AFC Bournemouth. A few days before in EFS-Cup Everton also lost against second league team Norwich. So it seems as though the “Toffees” have hit a little bit of a low. In the game against Bournemouth Everton was lacking creativity on offense and didn’t find a way to succeed against a steady defense from their opponent. So they deserved to leave the football field as the loser in the end. Lukaku and Co. are a very strong team at home however. They are currently the third best home team in English Premier League and overall they are ranked fifth. They have not lost any of their three home games so far, won two of them and drew in the other one. It’s a real trump, that Everton has strong players on almost every position. They hardly have any weak spots. With only four received goals so far the Liverpooler’s defense is currently the second best of the league. Offensively they managed to score ten goals in six games. Lately Koeman’s offensive players have not been very accurate though.
Current form Crystal Palace
The fans of Crystal Palace are not sure what’s happening right now. Their team is currently sensationally ranked seventh. They picked it up after a bad season start and have now won three league games in a row. They beat Sunderland (3:2), Stoke City (4:1) and promoted team FC Middlesbrough (2:1). Summarized that means that Alan Perdew’s team is undefeated since the two losses at the start of the season against Tottenham (0:1) and West Bromwich (0:1). They also drew against Bournemouth (1:1), which is not so unvaluable after Everton lost to AFC. Crystal Palace is particularly playing well in away games. They won their last two games away. In the EFS-Cup on the other hand they lost against Southamoton. On Friday one of their weapons might be standard situations. In such Crystal Palace is one of the most dangerous teams in the Premier League. Against Stoke they scored two of four goals after standard situations. Against Sunderland also Benteke scored the deciding goal after a free kick per head. Defensively they seem to have problems with standards however. They already received a couple of goals after free kicks or corners.
New signee Christian Benteke seems to be a real lucky find for Crystal Palace. He not only scored two goals so far, but he also works a lot for the team. On Friday Everton will be a hard opponent though. They are very strong at home. Additionally they will want to make up for their loss against Bournemouth in front of their home crowd. Our recommendation therefore: Tip 1.
