Unpleasant task for Chelsea
There are a couple of interesting games in English Premier League on the weekend. One of them is the game between the champion of 2015, Chelsea London, and the strong again team from FC Everton. Kick-off is November 5 at 6.30 PM.
Current form FC Chelsea
The team from London started great into the season and won three games in a row. After that followed a little bit of a weak period, when Chelsea had to endure two losses to Arsenal and Liverpool. These losses seem to have triggered some kind of a “healing process” however. The Conte-Eleven has been very impressive ever since. They not only won their last four league games, but also didn’t receive a single goal in these games. Last weekend they beat a strong Southampton team 2:0. The highlight of the current winning streak is probably the 4:0 victory over Manchester United and their former coach José Mourinho a week earlier. There is not much that currently speaks against the team from Stamford Bridge. Additionally Chelsea is performing really well in front of their home crowd this season. They only lost one of four home games so far. Chelsea plays a typical Italian football under Antonio Conte. They are very disciplined tactic-wise and they don’t allow their opponents much chances. On the last game day Southampton only shot directly at Thibaut Courtois’ goal once. Additionally Conte can count on almost all his potential key players on Saturday. Only Cesc Fábregas won’t be able to play.
Current form FC Everton
There is one parallel between FC Everton and Saturday’s opponent Chelsea London. The “Toffees” also hat a phenomenal season start. They have been undefeated for the first six games and have even been fighting for first place in the Premier League in the meantime. Lastly they weakened a little bit though, even though they were able to win last weekend against West Ham 2:0. This was the first victory after five winless games however. They especially lost unexpectedly away. For example they lost against Bournemouth (0:1) and promoted team FC Burnley (1:2). So Ross Barkley and Co. definitely prefer to play at home at Goodison Parc. Everton can count once more on their striker Romelu Lukaku. The Belgian is the counterpart to Chelsea’s Diego Costa and he should be extra motivated against his former club. Everton is more dependent on Lukaku than Chelsea is on Costa though. The fact that Lukaku scored seven goals in nine games and that the second best scorer on Everton’s team hasn’t even scored a third of his goals proves that. What’s positive is that Everton has been playing pretty solid defense. The Koeman-Eleven only received eight goals so far and is therefore the league’s second best defensive team behind Tottenham Hotspur at the moment.
Everton needs to play away against the best home team of the league so far. This sentence alone makes clear, how difficult the “Toffees’” task is on Saturday. Additionally the Koeman-Eleven just found their way back onto the road of success. That’s why we are counting on a little damper for the currently ranked sixth. Our recommendation: Tip 1.
