A thrilling match at the group D
At the third day of play at the group D it comes to an interesting encounter between the Czech Republic and Turkey. The eleven of Fatih Terim may stand under a lot of pressure if Turkey loses the match against Spain on the second day of play. Kick-off for this encounter in the 21st of June is at 9 p.m..
Current performance of the Czech Republic
In this strong group the Czech Republic has started as an outsider. At the first match against the current title holder Spain the team of Pavel Vrba has shown a good performance even though they had to swallow the bitter pill of the end result which has been a 0:1. The Czech trainer is convinced by the offensive play. Against Turkey there will be probable more space for attacks than they had against Spain. The second match against Croatia will be also very important. If they are able to win this they might have a position at the eighth finals but if they lose they have to stand a lot of pressure. Turkey has to deal with attacks from the wings from the Czech Republic. The wing back and the wing forward have important roles in this system. The first one already has shown a good performance against Spain. At the central field Arsenal-Oldie Tomas Rosicky has also an important role. However his colleague Petr Czech is the star in this team but all in all the Czech Republic is more a collective. At the test matches they were able to celebrate victories against Malta (6:0) and Russia (2:1). Against Turkey they also have realistic chances.
Current performance of Turkey
The first rival Croatia was probable one of the easier matches the team of Fatih Terim had to deal with. So they still have to worry. Even they have some big names in their squad like Barca-Star Arda Turan or Leverkusen-Scorer Hakan Calhanoglu the performance against Croatia could have been better. In addition their second rival Spain is a though rival. If you take a look at the single players of the Squad Turkey has the better players than the Czech Republic. The results of the already played matches against the EURO finalist of 1996 are very balanced. Out of seven matches, one ended in a drawn and three times Turkey was able to win against the Czech Republic. The last match has been in October 2015 and the Terim eleven was able to win away with a score of 2:0. The group play will be more balanced. Also like their rival the defence is very save as we already could see at the test matches against Slovenia (1:0) and Montenegro (1:0). For one of these two teams this match can mean a lot.
Betting tip for this match
A very interesting match where it’s hard to predict a result. At the beginning ot the EURO the Czech Republic has showed the better performance and had to suffer only one unlucky defeat. Turkey on the other side hasn’t convinced yet. We believe in a drawn and the teams will share the point. Our tip: tip x.
