Duel from the favourites of the group at the beginning
The world champion from 2006 meets the current second of the FIFA world ranking. This match opens the duels of the group E of the EURO 2016. It’s hard to choose a favourite in this match, even when Belgium has a slight advantage due to their players. Kick-off is on the 13th of June at 9 p.m..
Current performance of Belgium
At the world championship 2014 in Brazil, Belgium also has been a secret favourite. However Hazard & Co didn’t act as a team. So the competition for Coach Mark Wilmots will be forming a team out of the good solo players. At the Qualification it already worked out well. Belgium has been the winner of the qualification group B another participants of the group have been Wales and Bosnia Herzegovina. The latest international matches could have been better. On the 29th of March they have lost against Portugal with a score of 2:1. However with the same score they have been able to beat Switzerland on the 28th of May even when the performance wasn’t very convincible. Before the EURO 2016 matches start they have to play against Finland (01. 06.) and Norway (05. 06.). There are nearly no losses at the squad only defence player Nicolas Lombaerts is not able to play. He already has been replaced by Christian Kabasale. For the offensive play all hope lies on Premier-League-forward player Divock Origi (Liverpool) and Romelu Lukaku (Everton) who wants to recommend himself for the top teams.
Current performance of Italy
You can always count on Italy when it comes to big tournaments even when the team of Antonio Conte is not the top favourite for winning the EURO 2016. One big loss of the squad from the world champion from 2006 is Riccardo Montolivo. The middle field player from the AC Mailand is injured. The results of the preparation matches are not very satisfying. On the 24th of March there has been an acceptable 1:1 against Spain but only a few days later they have lost against Germany with a score of 1:4. On the 29th of May Italy has played against Scotland and has won closely with a score of 1:0. The Conte eleven has qualified them for the EURO sovereign. They have fought against Norway and Croatia at the group H. All eyes will lie on captain and goal keeper Gianluigi Buffon, it probably will be the last EURO for him. So it will be the big goal from the 38 year old player to win this tournament because this title is still missing in his trophy collection. Playing against Belgium will be a lot of work for Italy.
Betting tip for this match
Group E starts with a very exciting match because both teams are top favourites at the EURO. While Belgium has a little bit more of individual quality, Italy has more tournament experience. We think they have to share the points. That’s why our tip is: tip x.
