Betting tip UEFA Champions League: Bayer 04 Leverkusen - Tottenham Hotspur

Can Leverkusen win their first game?
In the parallel game of Group E the teams of Bayer 04 Leverkusen and Tottenham Hotspur play against each other in the Champions League on Tuesday. Bayer is hoping for their first win in this year’s Champions League. They will have to improve their game in order to win though. Kick-off is October 18 at 8.45 PM.
Current form Bayer 04 Leverkusen
Bayer 04 Leverkusen seems to not be able to pick up speed this season. Good performances are too often followed by bad ones, just like in the last two weeks. First they beat current vice champion Borussia Dortmund after a great performance 2:0, then they lost last weekend against a not great Werder Bremen team 1:2. Leverkusen’s biggest problem is that they are able to compete with almost any team, but they are not taking advantage of their possibilities. Against Werder they also looked like the better team on the field, but they ended up empty handed after the game. The same counts for the Champions League game against Monaco. Leverkusen was performing really well and then they received the equalizing goal shortly before the end. On Tuesday Bayer’s lack of experience could be a disadvantage again. Coach put a starting eleven on the field against Bremen that had an average age of only 23.6 years. The Monaco game proved that Leverkusen is lacking routine at the end of games. What’s positive is, that except Pohjampalo and Bellarabi Coach Schmidt is able to use the whole roster.
Current form Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham had the great chance of surpassing Manchester City last weekend and take the lead in English premier League, but then they only drew 1:1 against West Bromwich Albion. So everything stayed the same. The last results from the Pochettino Eleven are more than respectable nevertheless. Tottenham has now been undefeated for six games, won five of them and drew in one. Their last loss came in the beginning of Champions League against AS Monaco (1:2). The “Spurs” need to work on their efficiency especially. Alli and Co shot at West Bromwich’s goal 10 times, but only scored the equalizing goal in minute 89. The absence of injured top goal getter Harry Kane seems to hurt Tottenham’s offense. Additionally Toby Alderweireld had to leave the field due to an injury last game and is now questionable for Tuesday. What’s positive is that Tottenham was able to win their only game against Bayer Leverkusen so far 1:0. Additionally the “Spurs” already obtained their first so important Champions League in Moscow (1:0).
The current form favors Tottenham, even though they only drew in their last game against West Bromwich. Bayer Leverkusen on the other hand has been performing really well in the Champions League so far, even though the results don’t necessarily show that. We are counting with a draw in this game. Our recommendation: Tip X.
