Austria against Hungary is one of the most played matches in the soccer history. Also at the EURO 2016 these teams meet each other in the group F. It’s also a key match for both teams at the fight for the eighth finals. Kick-off on the 14th of June is at 6 p.m..
Current performance of Austria
The group F is the most level-headed group at the EURO 2016. Three of the four participants only have poor experience at tournaments lately. This is also with Austria. The team from Marcel Koller has qualified them at the first time on a sporty way. 15 player of the Austrian team are playing at the German national league. Of course David Alaba is a name to mention here who comes as champion and trophy winner to France. At the test match against Malta on the 31st of May he scored a curious own goal. Even when Austria has won the match with a score of 2:1 it’s not the best sign for the upcoming EURO 2016. However the Koller eleven made the qualification sovereign. They have won nine out of ten matches and one match ended in a drawn. Therefore they have beaten Russia and Sweden in their group. The test matches in March have been a roller coaster of emotions. At first they have won against Albania with a score of 2:1 and only a few days later they have lost against Turkey. The first rival at the EURO 2016 should be not underestimated by Arnautovic & Co. One big question is how the performance and condition from Marc Janko is who came back after a long break due to an injury.
Current performance of Hungary
On the contrary to Austria the Qualification from Hungary could have been more sovereign. As third of the group F behind Northern Ireland and Romania they had to make a detour through the playoffs. There they have beaten Norway. Another difference to Austria is that in Hungarian squad only 4 players also play at the German national league. In the team of Trainers Bernd Storck middle field player Balázs Dzsudzsák from the Turkish club Bursaspor has to carry a lot of responsibility. Lately he has been associated with a change to Hertha BSC. The latest test matches have been positive for the Storck eleven. Against the Ivory Coast they made a goalless drawn. Only a few days before they also made a drawn against Croatia with a score of 1:1. The last victory for Hungary has been at the play offs against Norway as already mentioned with a score of 2:1 in Budapest. The team is the outsider at the match against Austria.
Betting tip for this match
At the qualification Austria has shown a more sovereign performance than Hungary but at the preparation matches Hungary has been in a better shape. The Koller eleven has the better solo players that have also key roles at their team. That’s why we think that they will win this match closely. Our tip: tip 1.
