Betting tip 2nd German Bundesliga: 1. FC Nürnberg - TSV 1860 München

The duel of two traditional clubs
The last game of the 4th round in the second German Bundesliga is the match between two clubs that both have the potential of playing in the first league. Currently 1. FC Nurnberg as well as 1860 Munich are eating humble pie though. Kick-off is Monday at 8.15 PM.
Current form 1. FC Nurnberg
It almost seems like 1. FC Nurnberg fell into depression after they barely failed the promotion to first league last season. The same could be witnessed with Karlsruher SC last year. New Coach Alois Schwartz, who was very successful with underdog SV Sandhausen the last couple of years hasn’t found a way to get his team in gear yet. Nurnberg is currently only ranked 16th and hasn’t won a game yet. The best results so far were two draws against Dynamo Dresden (1:1) and 1. FC Heidenheim (1:1). The last round before the national team break was especially bitter for Nurnberg. They lost against leader Eintracht Braunschweig 1:6 after they have been in the lead 1:0 after only a few minutes. So coach Schwartz also had to act as a psychologist in the past days and weeks. Everybody is waiting on a reaction against 1860 Munich. The”Club” has especially played weak on defense against Braunschweig. The fact that they let go of their lead in a span of only 4 minutes more than proves that. Nurnberg also seems to lack the will to fight. Additionally defensive leader Georg Margreiter will be out for a longer period of time due to injury. All in all no good signs for the match against 1860.
Current form 1860 Munich
Adverse signs at TSV 1860 Munich. While they had to fight relegation last season, they slowly but surely gained consistency in their performances again. The 10th place in the standings is still not what fans are hoping for, but at least Munich doesn’t have to fear that they will go down from the beginning of the season. Unlike Nurnberg 1860 was undefeated in the last three rounds. They drew 0:0 against KSC. Additionally they eliminated the team from Baden from the DFB Cup a few days before that (2:1). In round two Kosta Runjaic’s team celebrated an important 1:0 win against Armenia Bielefeld. Unfortunately the “Lions” haven’t been very accurate when they played away in the last couple of months. Only one of their last seven away games was won. While the defense seems more stable compared to last season, the “Lions” have room for improvement on offense. The new signees like Ivica Olic weren’t able to perform up to their potential yet. With the number of new players that Munich has, it is normal though that they need some time to find together as a team.
The past results actually speak for 1860 Munich. We don’t believe that the “Club” will play as weak as they did against Braunschweig however. We think that the Schwartz-Eleven has the right answer and will win this close game. Our recommendation: Tip 1.
